It is unbelievable the text message that went out to our community.
The depths to which these two Jericho Board of Education trustees will go. It is mind-blowing that these two Jericho trustees are trying to paint a music program for underprivileged kids as a “unique program sponsored by radical liberals”. El Sistema is a music education program that brings music to kids living in poverty.
A music program that is responsible for training the legendary conductor of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Gustavo Dudamel, could be considered radical….The radical idea of bringing music and training to kids living in poverty and keeping them off the streets.
Wouldn’t it be great to have board trustees who want to bring things to people who are in need? Instead of trustees that want to block people from having things like housing and shelter?
Jericho needs to do better and keep this kind of trash off the board. Do your homework, get the facts, watch the meetings….The choice is clear.
